Over 13.5 million people nationwide are employed in the health care industry, making it the largest in the U.S. An aging population and advancing technology means that the field is expected to see rapid growth in the coming years -- according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, eight of the nation's twenty fastest-growing occupations are in health care. Many of these growing jobs -- including careers for substance abuse counselors, dental hygienists, pharmacy technicians, and medical assistants -- are possible with a bachelor's degree or less.
