On-Campus Degrees: Culinary Arts

Love working with food? Make it a career with a culinary education. Degree and certificate programs are available for aspiring pastry chefs, sous chefs, restaurant managers and even caterers. Diploma and certificate programs may be completed in six to eight weeks. Associate degrees typically take two years, and the Bachelor of Science in Culinary Arts requires four years of full-time study. General culinary coursework typically includes instruction in food preparation, equipment operation, cooking techniques, sanitation and food safety. Restaurant management instruction is available at the associate and bachelor's degree level. At all degree and certificate levels, a culinary education can offer students the opportunity to work confidently in the food and restaurant industry.
