Pharmacy technicians, physical therapist assistants, and some counselors don't need extensive education to enter their fields. Certificate and diploma programs are available in fields like medical billing and coding, medical record keeping and medical transcription. For some health and clinical workers, such as dental hygienists or respiratory therapists, a two-year program is sufficient.
